THIS EXACT THING happened to me. Mine's well and truly stuck, I wish I could just destroy it. Problem with the cannon. In order to get the cannon you have to swim back to your base, and then the Aurora despawns, and the seamoth falls. I don't know if it will get stuck in the aurora like the seamoth does in the island, but I don't know, maybe my argument isn't valid here. You can build base there. you goofed ! Try and keep pushing it. If that doesen't help, you can resort to swim far away and then come back. This will either make the seamoth get stuck in the ground permanently or move it just enough for you to save it. It's a 50/50 but if it's truly stuck then you have no choice.
