Hello, I just bought the TCL 8 Series tv and had difficulties having the Directv Genie remote control the tv. After trying many solutions, I finally stumbled on a forum suggesting going into the Directv remote settings and setting it up as if it was a Vizio tv. I selected "I don't have the model number" and the system started trying codes.
