This still works! I was thinking about trying joytokey, but if you turn off your 8bitdo zero2 and turn it on with R + start it will start a new pairing process. I removed the previous connection that showed as a gamepad, and the new connection shows as a keyboard. Now I see the 8bitdo show up in Karabiner. 1.
