Short answer is yes engineering in general is math intensive. If you chose to go the engineering route, you will have 6 or 8 math classes minimum, from calc 1 through differential equations with some linear algebra thrown in as well as statistics. At least that was my math journey. It is tough but doable.

Calc 3 was usually straight forward, you have a formula, you use the formula. Would not say calc 3 was easy at all. For me the difficulty is calc 1,3,2. Worst part was triple integration with integration by parts! Easy 2-3 pages of integrals. I liked Calc 3. Definitely easier than Calc 2, and a bit harder than Calc 1.

Most of Calculus III is extending Calculus I topics (limits, differentiation, integration) to multiple dimensions. Things get pretty conceptually tough with vector Calculus at the end, but if you have done well in Calculus so far, there’s no reason you shouldn’t do well with a summer course when Calculus is your main academic focus. •.Engineering is far too large of a profession for it to be dominated by statistical outliers of high intelligence.
